Butterflies - Ages 4 - 6 years

Well this is the really BIG room. Here we spend our final year before going to BIG SCHOOL. In this room we spend our time fine tuning all those wonderful skills we have been learning over the past few years and adding those final touches. This room has a maximum of 20 children and with 3 dedicated teachers who are specifically trained to ensure that each and every child has the opportunity to be the best they can in all areas, and yes, we are still not too big for cuddles.

Activities

Each day your child will participate in such things as: Music Group, Story Group, Craft activities, Dramatic play as well as specific school readiness activities.

Friendships are a great part of this year with children often taking these friendships over to big school, making their transition to school more enjoyable.

Transition to School

An important part of the butterfly room is our school readiness and transition to school program. This group of children get to visit our local school as well as invite some of the local kindergarten teachers to visit our children at pre-school so they can become familiar with them. Big School is a huge step not only for children but also for parents. We also have school transition evenings for families supporting our parents in the task of preparing their children for school.
